In Progress is part of an ongoing series of works which deal with urban exploration, abandoned or neglected spaces, and public detritus. The intention of these works is to visually investigate sites that exist in plain sight while being overlooked for an extended period of time. The urban status of the scenes depicted infers human intervention and related intention. Their decay references a distance between planned function, and neglect or abandonment. I am interested in the narrative which occupies the space between these two states. This narrative remains open-ended, and as the artist, I seek to invite viewers to form links between the visual content of the work and their own memories and experiences of urban environments.
