I have been working as a visual artist since 1996 when I graduated from OCA (OCADU) and I have a studio in Toronto at the Akin Collective. I divide my time between my Toronto studio and my cottage five hours north of Toronto near Tobermory. My work spans drawing, photography and painting mostly in oil and acrylic. I have also created 3 dimensional work in the form of dioramama's. My subject matter varies depending on where I am working and my response to contemporary sociopolitcal events. I love working with the figure but I equally love to work in the landscapes that inspire me as well as using objects that I find in thrift stores as my subjects. Some of the work is straighforward and apolitical and other work is directly confrontational.
