Featured Artist of The Week: Isabella Rose Nelson!
"I am an emerging artist exploring ideas surrounding decay, transformation, and collective memory.
I produce abstract sculpture and photography from reclaimed materials.
My work is informed and inspired by the study of natural cycles and cultural-historical traditions, such as purification, rituals and ceremonies. Collecting, processing, and transforming things left behind, my practice looks at storytelling and material investigation, often incorporating research as well as visual creation, as a way to reflect and reimagine the relationship between psyche and place through the symbolic and metaphorical use of found objects."
