Being invited to consider the concept ‘time’ opened an incredible mind blowing journey of exploration. Scientifically, in literature, spiritually, within artwork, in quotes, philosophical enquiry, conversation, documentaries and videos all offering explanations. The result was vast never ending questions and a multitude of answers but no distinct clarity. Upon opening discussion with many individuals across social media it was as big a question without clear definition, many descriptions offered but it was completely relative to each person.
Asking ‘what is time?’ there was no clear answer. A measurement? But of what? Things changing moment to moment… but how is it happening and what is a moment? Where is it? Why, where when and how do we all feel a sense of it? etc.
The only conclusion I could arrive at was that time is omnipresent and something that is labelled and experienced in an entirely subjective way.
So…what is time?

  • About The Artist

    Exploring what it means to be human, how we make sense/ meaning from the circumstances of
    our lives.
    At the moment I’m working on a set called ‘What Is?’ exploring what this phenomena that we experience is. Much of my work is participatory inviting people to describe in conversation how they are making sense of their life experience(s) be it in the context of grief, joy, dissatisfaction, love, emotion, existence, time, experiencing etc. The idea is to try my best to embrace responses as an amalgam and express through art. I inviting the onlooker to connect with something within themselves, their own sense making, like looking at a reflection. Something that can be recognised and inspires curiosity. The ultimate aim is to reassure that none of us are alone, we are connected to each other intrinsically in our humanity, through our sensory and emotional experience regardless our sense making.
    Beyond artwork I am a psychotherapist and the unique patterns of sense making is like a fingerprint of each our personal stories. This inspires me to explore this meaning making that we do. How it works. I am curious that we often we feel alone when beyond sense of self others are
    experiencing the world in their way too. I hope to explore both insight and sense of something beyond self, what this means, how it touches us and how it manifests.

  • Caring For Your Artworks

    Avoid hanging your artwork or displaying your sculpture in direct sunlight, above a working fireplace, or in a damp or humid area.

    When cleaning, never use water or commercial cleaners - always use your high-quality, lint-free microfiber cloth dry, and handle the artwork with extreme care to avoid creating fingerprints, dents or creases. This is especially important for artworks without glazed fronts.

    Lighting which washes the walls of a room displays all paintings without damaging them with ultraviolet rays or direct heat from sunlight. Energy-saving bulbs or yellow light bulbs don't capture artworks to their full beauty.

    Sculpture should always be lit from eye level or above, never from below as while this may create momentary drama it will not do the work justice.

    For UK deliveries:

  • Returns and Refunds

    We always want you to be delighted with your artwork. If you have changed your mind and wish to return it to us you have 14 days from the point of delivery to contact us to organise a return. We do not charge for online returns. 

    We offer store credit if the artwork is returned within 14 days after we confirm the return in the same condition it was sent in unless otherwise agreed with the gallery.

    If you have lost the original packaging, please ensure that the item is securely packaged. Items which have not been packaged appropriately and have been damaged in transit may not be eligible to be refunded.

    If your order has arrived damaged, please retain all original packaging and notify us immediately of this so that we can arrange reframing, a replacement or a refund depending on your wishes.

    Store credit or refunds are managed centrally and should be processed within 14 days of the receipt of a returned item.

  • Authenticity

    All artworks will come with a full Certificate of Authenticity. Some artists and publishers will have their own COA that comes with the artwork, or alternatively, we will send you our Tebbs Gallery COA.
