Analogue photograph taken in the back streets of Hoxton, painted with acrylic paint, behind a layer of printed acetate. The lid can be repositioned to create multiple images.
The most important theme in my work is an exploration of place, and this is filtered through the friction between being introverted, and the reality of art practice; hiding versus showing, privacy versus publicity.
Crude marks sit alongside intricacy, examining concepts of prittiness/ugliness.
I work small scale allowing portability of work in progress, often working in public around the city.
