Both postcards are part of an ongoing series of work entitled ‘Garden Poems’.
’Timeless’ is a mixed media artwork created in many thin layers, using oil, cold wax and collage. Embedded within the fine layers is the image of a rose shadow, a motif which embodies poignant memories for me of childhood. Taken from an original photograph I took of a Queen Elizabeth Rose in the early part of 2023.
