Coffee shop moments with the girls by Debbie Farquharson
Coffee wash, coffee beans and sketching pen on watercolour paper
38 x 28 cm
An expressive, warm take on a coffee shop scene with some girls in my family in a new experimental medium- coffee.
It is in a narrative like form.
I loved using the different sizes of crushed and whole beans in a relief way to portray different tones and the sometimes challenging use of coffee washes.
I work with watercolour and pen as well as acrylic in my practice so enjoyed this challenge.
